shē thing Inc. obtains 501(c)(3) status
We are pleased to tell you that shē thing Inc. has obtained 501(c)(3) status. This is not only great news for us, it's great news for all of you! Contributions you make to shē thing are tax-deductible as defined by Internal Revenue Code (IRC) section 170.
As we enter the season of giving and last minute individual and corporate tax write-offs, keep these two things in mind:
1. Not all nonprofit charities are tax exempt. shē thing's 501(c)(3) tax exemption status places us in a special sector that not all nonprofits are in. Just because an organization is incorporated as a nonprofit does not mean it automatically qualifies them for tax exemption.
2. Donations to nonprofits are not always tax-deductible. If the charity you are donating to does not have 501(c)(3) status, your donations are not tax-deductible. The legal formation of a nonprofit is a state law concept, not federal.
As a grassroots organization our work directly impacts the quality of life of the women we serve. We are a legal, fully operating 501(c)(3) charity. All of your donations are tax-deductible.
