Why do women have periods?
If human beings are mammals, then all female mammals should have periods, right? Women are among a small number of mammals that have periods, and we have them the most often. The obvious reason women have periods is because of pregnancy. But it gets a bit deeper than that. This 2015 video produced by TED-Ed does a great job explaining why women have periods.
